I had the most incredible experience volunteering at the United Food Bank of Plant City! The staff there is just amazing - so friendly, helpful, and dedicated to making a difference in the community. It was such a fun and rewarding time, knowing that I was contributing to such an important cause. I highly recommend anyone looking for a meaningful volunteer opportunity to check out this awesome place.

Fui y fue una mala experiencia primero la persona que me entrego los articulos un poco grosero y yo entiendo que hay que hacer agradecido pero deberian de verificar las FECHAS de Expiracion ya que los dan con meses atras y dañadas y la leche dan bastantes galones y fuera de fecha y eso no se debe de dar asi eso hace daño .

I went and it was a bad experience. First, the person who gave me the items was a little rude and I understand that I have to be grateful but they should verify the Expiration DATES since they give them months ago and damaged and the milk gives quite a few gallons and out. of date and that should not happen like that that hurts.

Thank you guys so much for doing everything you do & giving back to the community. Also, thank you to the local stores like Winn Dixie and Publix for donating to those in need! I’ve been out of work for over a month due to illness, so I had to use a food bank for the first time. I was surprised that with what they gave us, I was able to ration and plan dinners for over a week for my family. I am very grateful that this resource is available to our community. Again, thank you so much!

I LOVE the food bank. They’ve always worked their hardest to serve people who are in need like me. I appreciate all the volunteers who take time out of their day to serve us. Really disappointed in the way other people treat the staff when they’re wonderful & work to serve. Completely grateful since at the end of the Day, Hey it’s FREE food!

As a volunteer, I can confirm that the staff and volunteers at the United Food Bank are a diverse group of caring individuals who are united by a common desire to serve our community. Even when donations are on the low side, we do our very best with what we have available to us on any given day to provide as many of the food groups/categories as possible to our clients. Every day, our volunteers who "work the door" to hand out this FREE food, hear heartfelt gratitude from clients for the multiple boxes of meat, dairy, dry goods, fresh produce, breads and desserts that have been prepared for them. It is very unfortunate that a few disgruntled indivuals, who often tell only half the story when they complain and have no idea what goes on behind the scenes, raise their voices the loudest. I am so grateful to be an active participant in the wonderful work achieved by all of the people, full and part time, who hang their hats from Mondays through Fridays at 702 East Alsobrook St. in Plant City!

These guys are awesome and deserve a little recognition! If you live in a certain ZIP code they will give you free food every 2 weeks!! They are always smiling and welcoming!
